The Kilgoris Project partners with a Maasai village in rural southwest Kenya to provide education, health care and economic development resources for the community.
More than 1,200 children attend TKP’s 10 schools where they receive a holistic education that nurtures the mind, body and spirit. At school, students have access to caring teachers, books and learning materials in English and Kiswahili, daily hot meals and clean water, and an environment to learn and grow.
By making schools more geographically accessible, students can begin preschool as early as age two and primary school at age five. In TKP's six preschools and four primary schools, parents eagerly share their excitement over the academic opportunities as well as nutrition and health care access these young students benefit from. It is TKP's vision that the children of Kilgoris will forge transformative lives for themselves, their families and their communities.
Over the last 17 years, TKP has grown into an organization that goes deep and develops relationships with the community. Through generous donors and partners, the TKP team is creating a foundation for long-term change in this rural Kenyan community.
